PostSubject: Greyson Academy for the Gifted   Thu Jan 17, 2013 3:52 pm

Originally, Greyson Academy had been Stinson Academy back in the 1700s. Thanks to the addition of "for the Gifted" in the early 1900s, the abbreviation "SAG" did little for the student body. Instead, it is now "GAG". To some, it still resembles the former, but for those who attend GAG, it makes perfect sense.

To the public, Greyson Academy is a place for people who are quite smart or skilled. This is mostly true, but with a catch. The academy is actually a school for young spies. They get recruited and are trained with the general school curriculum, but must also train physically. Usually it is orphaned children, but this is not always the case. Only parents who attended Greyson know what the school really does. Some may work there as teachers, counselors, trainers, or even agents.

Greyson started in Britain, outside of London. It started off with about 20 pupils, growing to 300 only a few decades later. Today, it houses nearly two-thousand on a state-of-the-art campus. Several computer labs, flat-screen tvs in every bedroom, private bathrooms, one dining hall with several food options, training course that is updated every three years, and for the elder teens - brand new rental cars, including mustangs, porsches, and others.

You are able to request a private room or a roommate, though no more than two to a room. Boys can be with girls as the school has high surveillance, even in the dorms. To qualify as an agent you have to have extensive physical, wit, and psychological tests before you are truly offered a place at Greyson. You are blind-folded and drugged as you are brought here, so nobody would believe a kid if he went to the news about a place that offers, or rejects, children spies.

There are three dorms on campus.
The Hannihan House - For girls only.
The Benjiman House - For boys only.
The Benihanna House - The coed dorm.

Generally, the ranking at Greyson is by age, but for the real inexperienced ones you may be placed in kindergarten classes. You may be in advanced maths but your combat training may be with six and seven year-olds. Eventually, when you are of age and skill, you will be placed on missions with a handler or a MI5 agent - in rare cases, a CIA agent. Some children may have lived here for several years, but could not train with the obstacle course until they are 10 years old. The obstacle course is a two month long training where you are housed in terrible conditions, yelled at constantly, forced to wear the same clothes every day, and often times you go hungry for two days at a time. It is the last training course before you are made an agent and are allowed on missions.

The ranking with approximate ages goes as follows:
Guests - White (when you are recruited, but not accepted)
New recruit (10+) - Grey
Children (4-9) - Purple  (These are children who have grown up on campus, but cannot train physically other than karate classes and general school classes)
Apprentice Agent (10+) - Light Blue (These are ones who passed the course and are agents.)
Amateur Agent (14+) - Blue (These children have usually been on several missions, or one or two large missions where they did well)
Novice Agent (16-19) - Red (Have been on several missions - 10-20 - or have been on a few intense missions with good results.
Trainer (19+) - Black (Graduate agents have the chance to train or teach recruits.)

Depending on your rank, you will wear a "GREYSON" or "GAG" shirt with that specified color.

Name: Sophia Lockwood
Agent Name: Sophia Whitacre
Age: 14
Rank: Light Blue (Apprentice Agent)
Appearance:
She generally is seen in her Light Blue "ACADEMY" shirt and jeans. Her laptop or book is always near her, along with a cup of coffee.
Criminal Record: None.
History (opt): Recruited at age 13, she has only been in GAG for eight months. She passed the obstacle course training, better known as the death training, the first time. There was only one mission in which she was in, but the group had been sent home early due to a severe injury to her rib. The group's cover was blown. The group, a family laundering money for a terrorist group called Kallen, discovered them. Set out for revenge, they murdered one of the two handlers, permanently paralyzed a Red (novice) agent, and nearly killed Sophia. The remaining handler had been able to call in back up, who arrived just in time. However, Sophia had four broken ribs and seven other cracked. Two of her ribs on her left side were so badly damaged, they had to replace them with metal ribs to protect her lung. She has been recovered for two months.
Personality (opt): Sophia prefers to be alone. She does not speak loudly unless angered. Her tempers fluctuate dependent upon the conversation topic. She never speaks about her family or past.
Siblings: Trent, half-brother. They have not spoken in years.

Name: Requiem Dominus Mortalis
Agent Name: Zaigou Masa Taida
Age: 17
Rank: Red
Appearance:

Criminal Record: Killed One Person and Broke Another's Spine In Self Defense During A School Shooting
History (opt): Requiem was Recruited at 14, after the incident at his school. He had killed another student who had come in waving around a gun, while his brother fired off shots at anyone who tried to get close to the school. Requiem decided that taking out the one by the doors would be easier. He used the flat edge of a lunch tray against the gunner's neck, breaking it and leaving them paralyzed from the neck down. From there he took the gun and shot the other one. Three other students died before Requiem could save them. After a great deal of court processes, Requiem was released, but finding that he couldn't get back to a normal life, he was scouted out by GAG. He was shown to have excellent stealth and negotiation skills, although he wasn't much of a martial artist. His skills are primarily in assassination and shifting diplomatic events.
Personality (opt): He's calm, calculated, and at the same time very laid back and goofy. He understands the world around him, and what he doesn't understand, he seeks to understand.
Siblings: A younger sister, Maria. She has the same white hair as he does.
Other: He keeps several decks of cards on him at all times. Playing Cards as well as Tarot Cards. He also keeps a silver pocket watch.

Name: Ashlyn (Ash) Ann McClain
Agent Name: Alissa Heart
Age: 16
Rank: Blue (Amateur Agent)
Appearance:
She has medium brown hair and light blue grey eyes. She's a little taller than average height. She has one large scar across her right thigh, a really big one acros her lower back, another on her left shoulder blade and small scars scattered across her arms and hands.
Criminal Record: List of known: three known Breaking and entering charges, five acts of violence and assault of officers.
History (opt): It started out the five of them on the street, her brother took the away from their abusive parents after her dad had thrown a broken bottle at Alex who was only four at the time. It was rough at first but the kids got tougher and they survived. After three years of being on the streets Ash became the oldest at 14 while her brother died at the age of 17. And another year passed of stealing, fighting and surviving. Finally the cops caught up to the group and they were arrested after a failed job. While the arrest was going on the kids managed to put up a fight, David managing to break two noses and a wrist, the twins managed to sprain one of the officers ankles and pop out another's shoulder while Ash managed to crack five noses, sprain a writ, dislodged an elbow and broke alot of toes. They still got caught and Ash was separated from her younger siblings. After a couple months of being shuffled around through the system, bouncing between foster care and jouvie, Greyson noticed her and she was brought into the school. Which she tried to escape from multiple times and miserably failed. Finally a compromise was made, as long as she behaved and graduated, she'd get help finding her siblings again. After she settled down she basically zoomed through the curriculum at an alarming pace and passed the obstacle course with good marks. She's done well on 3 out of four of the missions she's been on; the fourth she dosnt like to talk about, its where she got the scar on her thigh and several smaller ones.
Personality (opt): For all intentions she comes off as quiet and maybe a bit stand offish. She's a quick learner and has learned to roll with the punches over the years. She can't stand the quiet without being on edge and nearly hyper aware of her surroundings, so if there isn't some kind of sound around her, she'll start listening to music in one ear. She can be a tad paranoid and overcautious.
Siblings: A twelve year old brother (David) and two nine-year-old (Alex and Lexi) , twin sisters. She had an older brother (Greg) , but he got shot after three years on the streets.
Other: She always has the collar on her body somewhere, all of her siblings have one that matches it with an identical metal tag on the inside of the collar with all of their first names.

The halls were quiet during the summer break. Those who weren't off on a mission, were able to take two months for summer off. The few who had siblings outside of Greyson were allowed visitation with daily check-ins. The rest were allowed to vacation in Hawaii at a lovely resort.

Sophia had opted out of the resort. That wasn't really her thing. She would much rather continue training and studying than sitting on a hot beach with loud kids running around screaming. So here she was, heading to one of the three gyms. She thought she would head on over to the indoor obstacle course in Peterson Gym, swing her way over to the Gymnastics Gym (always good to be acrobatic), then finish off on the outside 3-mile track with a few laps.

Wearing her GAG shirt - as they all were required to do on campus other than on Sundays -and a pair of white short-shorts, she walked into the gym and began the course. The course consisted of several climbing ropes, a jungle-gym-like obstacle, three dummies you had to beat down before you could pass, and a mud pit you had to crawl through to the other side while 'rain' poured down on top of you.

When she had first started Greyson, her record had nearly beaten the best record at 1 minute 12 seconds. Unfortunately, since her 'accident', she had barely been able to make it to a minute.

Nothing really hurt anymore, except when she would stifle through the mud. For some reason, the pressure from the mud caused significant pain still. She was able to hide it well enough that the school now lets her train, and is considering providing her with a mission again soon.

Everyone had their own personal area of preference. For Requiem, it was Marksmanship. He could clip the wings off of a fly at 30 yards without his scope. He had a tendency to spend most of his waking hours at the gun range. In fact, he had logged more time there than any two others combined. On this day though, he was working with a slightly more difficult weapon.

Turning to face the target, Requiem pulled the string back, arrow held steady as he aimed. He shifted the bow higher up, compensating for the drop and resistance, and let it fly. The arrow soared through the air, hitting the target with a distinct thud. "Hmph... Still off..." He grumbled. As he reached for the next arrow he heard a voice calling him. "The car is here" Requiem tensed a moment before dropping the arrow back down. "Alright, I'll be there in a moment." He replied, setting the bow up on the stand.

When he reached the car, a man smiled at him and gave a salute. "The cart's back there, bring it back to the school" Requiem told him, climbing into the drivers seat of the car.

It took about an hour to reach the designated area, and when Requiem stepped out of the vehicle he was greeted by a loud "Requiem!" as a snow-white haired girl half tackled him, hugging him tightly.

"Hey Maria, miss me I take it?"

The now fourteen year old girl nodded her head, looking up at him. "You're late" She grumbled.

Regardless of how she acted though, he knew she missed him. "Well I'm sorry, it took me longer than I expected to get here. Besides, I got you a present!"

In that moment, Requiem noticed that if his sibling's eyes got much wider they'd probably fall out. "Well? Show meeeee!"

Shaking his head with a gentle smile, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a narrow box. "Here you are brat." He teased, ruffling her hair as she took the box and immediately opened it. Inside was a book of poetry he used to read her when they were younger. There was also a bookmark with his art designs on it.

When she opened the book, there was a simple inscription on the inside of the front cover saying Lots of love Sis, Requiem. "Req... Thank you" She told him, hugging him tightly.

They joked back and forth for a while, he tried to keep the conversation on her life, which wasn't all that difficult. She told him about all the new boys she was interested in, and how she was doing in school, what sort of trouble she'd been getting into. They ended up talking for hours, and before they knew it, Requiem got a call saying that it was time for him to go again.

"I don't want you to go!" Maria complained with a pout.

"I know, I know, but I have to. I'll get ahold of you so we can hang out again as soon as I can, alright?"

She gave a heavy sigh before conceding "I know... I just miss you, that's all"

They parted ways and Requiem returned for the hour drive back.

A 'thud' echoed around the empty space as Ash's hand connected with the dummy again. She was doing what she normally did when others of the school got to go visit their siblings, sulking. She had once again been turned down with a: 'You have yet to graduate, Ms. McClain, keep to your end of the bargain first.' from the school counselor. She closed her eyes and huffed quietly into the empty air before spinning and switching to a different style, she couldn't think of the name at the moment, landing a high kick, followed by a low kick tot he dummy in quick succession, sending it barreling backwards and away from her with the force. She had been at this for two hours already. She stepped back and tilted her head to look the dummy over, noticing that she had ripped a small hole in it.

"Yep, time to switch to something else." She muttered at herself before taking a step back and spinning on her heel to leave the area. Plugging both earbuds in to her ear she hummed quietly as she ducked outside, she figured she'd run a couple of laps for a moment. She was still to irritated to sit still yet. Readjusting her ponytail she glanced up to see a younger brunette off in the distance. She blinked as she tried to remember the girls name. After a moment she remembered it started with an "S' and the girl was 14? roughly? Shaking her head a bit she started her laps at an easy jog. She wasn't mission related, and therefore it wasn't to important if she couldn't place her, was it? She turned the music up.

After her obstacle run training, she headed to the outdoor track where Sophia saw a Blue Shirt join her. Ashlyn. That was her name. Sophia thought she was a trouble-maker. Someone who didn't want to be here, despite the privileges. If it weren't for Greyson, Sophia would be in a very bad place on the street.

Then again, it wasn't unusual for some students to be ungrateful for such an opportunity. Afterall, some had only decided to come to get out of a life of crime, or out of horrible foster homes. Sophia wasn't about to begin delving into her past. It was something she never thought about.

Seeing competition in another girl on the track, she began pushing herself harder. She was always competitive, but even more-so since her injury. As she was rounding her first lap, she saw the front gates to the school open and one of the dark-shaded and black transport cars pull up. Someone was coming home from break early.

Requiem parked the car and stepped out, another man replacing him and taking the car away. He let out a heavy sigh, looking over the course. There were a few people out on the track, but not too many. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a book, walking over to the side of the track and sitting down. The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It was very simple, but a good book to read over from time to time as it's methods could be applied even in modern times.

"18. Hiding order beneath the cloak of disorder is simply a question of subdivision; concealing courage under a show of timidity presupposes a fund of latent energy; masking strength with weakness is to be effected by tactical dispositions."

He read through the book slowly, occasionally looking up to see the progress of the runners.

Ash blinked as the smaller girl seemed to zoom ahead of her on the rack. She held back the urge to race up ahead and at least draw even with the girl. She was supposed to be working on endurance, not speed. A grin split her face, who was she kidding it seemed like too much fun to pass up. She sped up 'till she could tap the other girl on the shoulder, leaning just close enough,

"you're it." Before she took off a bit faster along the track.
